Impaired Driving Charges in Oshawa and Lindsay

Alcohol - 80 mg alcohol in 100 ml blood.

Cannabis - There are two limits on the prohibited levels of THC. Having 2 ng to 5 ng of THC per ml of blood is considered a less serious offence while having 5 ng or more per ml of blood is considered a more serious offence.

Alcohol and cannabis combination - 50 mg or more of alcohol per 100 ml of blood and 2.5 ng of THC per ml of blood.

Other drugs - Any detectable amount of PCP, ketamine, LSD, cocaine, psilocin, 6-mam and methamphetamine.
The prohibited level of the drug GHB is 5 mg per litre of blood since it can be naturally produced at low levels by your body. You can also face penalties if you are in the warn range - 7.9 to 50 ml in 100 ml of blood.
The Ontario law doesn’t allow the following people any level of alcohol in their blood while driving:

People below the age of 21

Drivers who hold a G1, G2, M1 or M2 license

People who are driving a vehicle that requires a Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) or A-F driver’s license

People who are driving a road-building vehicle
